Cleaning your jewelry in 3 steps

The Ultimate Guide to Cleaning Your Jewelry

With the vast array of jewelry types and materials available, it can be challenging to determine the best cleaning methods. However, when cleaning the jewelry, the simpler, the merrier.

For gold jewelry, follow these simple 3-steps:

  1. Soak your jewelry in a solution of mild/neutral dish soap and warm water for around five minutes.
  2. Use a soft brush to gently scrub the jewelry, paying attention to the back and underneath the stones.
  3. Rinse with clean water and pat dry with a clean, soft, lint-free cloth. You can also use a hair drier afterwards (set on cold, don't use hot air) to ensure your piece is completely dry.

For silver jewelry, follow these simple 4-steps:

  1. Cover the inside of a cup with aluminum foil and fill 2/3 with hot water.
  2. Add 0.5 tbsp of baking soda and 0.5 tbsp of salt
  3. Soak the jewelry there for 10 minutes and use a soft brush to gently scrub it, paying attention to the back and underneath the stones.
  4. Rinse with clean water and pat dry with a clean, soft, lint-free cloth. You can also use a hair drier afterwards (set on cold, don't use hot air) to ensure your piece is completely dry.

Don't waste your money with products to clean your pieces. Instead, invest your money in a good jewelry store.
